What the plans differ on is how many websites you may run and which features each one may use — the features page describes each of them.
Questions about plans
- What counts as a website?
- One website is one site with its own content, its own theme, its own domains and its own team. A staging copy of a site is a second website, because that is what it is.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Create an account, create a website, and it is live on its subdomain straight away. Every new account begins on the free plan, and there is no card to enter and nothing to cancel.
- How do I move to a paid plan?
- You ask us, and we move your website across. Paid plans are not self-serve yet — there is no checkout in the dashboard — so the honest answer is an email rather than a button. Write to us with the plan you want and we will tell you what it costs and set it up.
- Can I change plan later?
- Yes, in both directions. A plan decides which features a website may use, never what it has already written — your pages, posts and media are untouched by a change of plan, and a theme you are already using stays usable.
- What happens when I need more sites than my plan allows?
- You move up a plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing stops working while you decide; the limit applies to creating the next website, not to the ones you already run.
- Can I use my own domain on a paid plan?
- Yes. Add the domain under Domains, create the two DNS records the screen gives you, and click Check DNS. The site keeps working at its vpress.app address as well.
- What happens to my content if I leave?
- It is yours and it leaves cleanly. Content is stored as structured data rather than as markup glued to a theme, and any site exports as a WordPress WXR file that another system can read.
